To take on the challenge as conveyed by Dr. Jane Goodall:
“It’s time for us to realize that we are part of those who are hungry
and starving, all those animals that face extinction. Then we
begin to make the change from ‘I’ to ‘WE’. We are the world.”
– Dr. Jane Goodall
FIONS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to exploring the meaning of consciousness in its many forms. It is inspired by the epiphany Dr. Edgar Mitchell had on his return from the moon in 1971; an experience of universal connectedness. From the unique vantage point of the space capsule, the image of the Earth floating gently in space radically altered his preconceived and pragmatic view of reality.
What if reality was more complex than physical science had led us to believe?
Might the study of “inner space” yield a more thorough understanding of the human experience and expand our concepts about reality? This expanded understanding provides us with the insight to break down the divisions and limitations, and barriers, between religions, fields of knowledge, people and species, changing the paradigm of how we understand and live in the universe.
