Patrick Carolan is a Catholic activist, organizer, speaker and writer. He was the director of Catholic outreach for Vote Common Good and helped organize the Catholics for Biden campaign. He previously served as executive director of the Franciscan Action Network. Patrick co-founded the Global Catholic Climate Movement and helped start the Faithful Democracy coalition. He started his activism career as a labor organizer and served several years as president of a state employee labor union in Connecticut. He regularly writes articles on faith and justice for Franciscan Media, National Catholic Reporter, Trend magazine and New Creation Magazine. In addition he has given talks and written articles globally. He and his wife Stella currently live in Connecticut. They were foster parents and adopted two children in addition to their two biological children. Patrick has written and spoken on his experience as a white father with two black children.
